Here is a hopefully growing resource of French cooking schools, classes and vacations, available here in France and around the world. The more you understand how to cook good French food, the more your appreciation for it will grow. Taking a class in French cuisine is also a great way to make new friends and visit new places.

The Walnut Grove offers five day hands on cooking courses in a charming rural location in the Loire Valley region of France. Taught by two professional chefs, the classes cover everything from basics to much more elaborate, but always approachable, gourmet cuisine.

Madeleine Montabert offers hands on cooking classes showcasing traditional French home cooking. Located in the fabulously picturesque Provençal village of Crillon-le-Brave, for an authentic slice of life in the south of France.

Operating in both Paris and Seattle, Muriel-Marguerite Foucher emphasizes clssic French cooking with an emphaisis on simplicity.

Learn to cook gourmet food and enjoy the gastronomically rich region of Bretagne (Brittany) France. The school is run by an experienced chef and the emphasis is on fine dining, but the atmosphere is nonetheless warm and relaxed at the French dining school.

Hands-on cooking classes offered in both Paris and the Loire Valley. Taught by Terresa, an accomplished cook with many years of experience preparing food in France. The emphasis is on everything fresh and local, especially vegetables.

Diane Shaskin and Mark Craft take you on a wonderfully planned culinary adventure. Tours take place both in Paris and in the south of France. Lots of unique, hands on activities are planned on these tours.
