I went to the Polidor, Paris restaurant because I saw it featured on a show on $40 a day on the Food Network. The food was wonderful as was the entire dining experience. We were sat at a table with two other couples that didn't speak English, which worked out interestingly because we didn't speak French. The
communication turned out just fine as we passed each other's dishes around to sample along with a bottle of wine, or two.
The most interesting thing that happened was my trip to the restroom. The toilet was a hole in the floor, needless to say I was a little surprised. But that
was nothing compared to the fact that there was no ceiling above me, just the balcony of the apartment overlooking the area. Thank goodness no one was out there at the time. I'll never forget this.
Thanks Mike! by:
Kim Thanks for sharing your restaurant review Mike! The hole in the ground experience is getting rarer and rarer in France this days. We could interpret it as a testament to the historical
interest of this long standing Parisian restaurant.
