Rice Pudding

Rice Pudding

Question: Recently on a trip to France, I ate something for breakfast that the waitress said was sounded like "Jewel" au lait. Do you know what it might be. It seemed like a pudding or a tapioca. Thank you, Janet

Answer: Hi Janet, Thanks for writing in with your question.

I'm a bit stumped. Is it possible that what she said was riz au lait? The riz is pronounced "re".

Riz au lait is rice pudding and although more typically a dessert, it might be served for breakfast.

If you don't think that it is it, I'll keep digging.
